Our Early Year Curriculum covers a rich and diverse curriculum, providing awe and wonder for each individual. We understand that how children learn is just as important as what they learn and always seek for children to take an active interest in their own learning. We note the children’s interests in order to promote and extend learning opportunities, as we acknowledge that children t learn best and make most effective progress when they are interested, excited and stimulated to learn.
Our curriculum is delivered through a mixture of play experiences and adult-led activities that follow the children’s curiosity. We believe that children learn best when they are engaged through playing and exploring, participating in active learning, creating and thinking critically.
We follow the British Early Years, framework is divided into three prime areas and four specific areas of learning.
The prime areas consist of; communication and language development; physical development; personal, social and emotional development. And the specific areas are made up of; literacy development, mathematics, understanding the world, expressive arts and design.
Alongside the set curriculum we offer, we are continuously preparing children for life outside of the classroom. We strive to ensure that our children’s introduction into education is happy, active, exciting and secure, whilst simultaneously supporting their development, care and learning needs.
