Meet the teachers at Kamýk Secondary.
Principal
Niki Meehan has extensive school leadership experience, with a career spanning over twenty five years and several countries. Prior to joining PBIS, Niki was Principal at Nord Anglia International School Rotterdam. She has also held leadership positions at other prestigious Nord Anglia schools in Jakarta, Shanghai, and Bratislava, where she successfully built inspirational communities for students, parents, and colleagues.

Head of Kamýk Campus
Paul qualified from Oxford University in 1999. He taught in a primary school just outside Oxford for four years before moving to Prague in 2003. Initially Paul worked within the school as a Year 2 teacher, then Deputy Head and in 2007 became the Head Teacher of Kamýk Primary School.
Deputy Head KS3
Marion qualified as a teacher in 2000 at Sorbonne University, Paris. After five years of teaching English in a Parisian public school and at university, she was ready for a change and settled in Prague, which she finds both beautiful and peaceful. She has been working at the school since 2005 and was appointed as Assistant Head of Senior School in 2011. During her spare time, she likes to read, listen to music and watch old films. She is now sharing these passions with her two children.
Head of ČBZŠ / Head of Czech Programme
Having graduated from Charles University, Petra gained her precious life experiences in international companies, thanks to which she had opportunities to visit various countries all over the world. Petra speaks several languages fluently. She familiarised herself with the British curriculum at Riverside School. In 2001 she joined BISP, as an EAL teacher and soon developed the “Czech Programme”. In 2004 Petra successfully prepared the opening of the bilingual school (Česko Britská Základní Škola), which has been met with growing interest from the Czech public.
PE and Spanish Teacher
Marian is originally from Slovakia and graduated from Comenius University in Bratislava. After completing his Master’s degree in Physical education and geography in 2002 he accepted a position in Denia, Spain. In 2005 he moved to London where he gained British qualified teacher status and continued his teaching career at a range of schools including schools with Special Education Needs departments. Marian joined our school in August 2009.
Art and Design Technology Teacher
Having spent significant portions of his life in Nairobi, Boston, and Prague, Conrad is a U.S. citizen who graduated from the Rhode Island School of Design (BFA Painting), and the Academy of Art, Architecture, and Design in Prague (MFA Intermedia Art). Having worked full-time as a teacher since 2004, and having been at the school since 2012, he has also continued to pursue a career as an artist in the Czech Republic and beyond. Conrad is primarily interested in the relationship between the academic and technical sides of art with the expressive and interpretive, and therefore aims to inspire in his students both intuitive and objective abilities. In addition to practicing painting, sculpture, and spoken word, Conrad is also an avid juggler and proponent of alternative modes of transportation (skateboarding and bicycling in particular). Digital Studies Teacher
Andrew joined us in September 2016, following 12 years of teaching in Yorkshire, England. He gained a BA (Hons) in Journalism from the University of Leeds in 2004, writing for NME and other UK based magazines, before switching to teaching ICT and completing his PGCE in 2006 from the University of Huddersfield. During his vast teaching experience, he has taught in UK mainstream schools and within specialist colleges.
Head of Year 7; Mathematics Teacher
Caroline joined PBS in September 2007 as an ESL teacher and currently teaches both EAL and mathematics. She graduated from DCU, Ireland with a Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering. She worked for a number of years as a project engineer before deciding to move into the field of education. Caroline has worked in both language and international schools in the UAE, Ireland and the Czech Republic.
