DEVELOPMENT OF

THE 'WHOLE' CHILD

Over the last couple of months, our dedicated Early Years teachers have been collaborating to develop the ethos that ensures your children are given an inspirational start to their life in our school. Learning from research and having discussions about how best children learn within school, we firmly believe that for the development of the ‘whole’ child – play is an essential part to a child’s learning within Early Years.

LEARN THROUGH PLAY

Our highly skilled teachers focus on each individual child and, using their curiosity and interests, create a truly personalised learning experience. There are many ways in which we do this, but the most important aspect in allowing children to learn through play is setting up inquiry-based learning opportunities. Inquiry enables children to plan their own activities and experiences; this involves children carrying out investigations, proposing explanations and solutions, and communicating their understanding of concepts in a variety of ways. The children are continuously supported by our expert teachers, immersing the students in their learning environment.

CONTINUE TO DEVELOP

We had to think carefully about the ways in which children will develop in all areas of our campus; so, with much passion and hard-work we have created an environment that allows children to be learning constantly, whether they are inside the classroom or out. We’ve planned carefully to give children a solid foundation for academic skills and also personal and emotional skills which they will carry with them, and continue to develop, for their whole time with us. When children leave our school, they will have everything they need for success – and this starts with our very youngest.
