NAISAK victorious in annual Gulf Writers’ Competition
Back in March, all students age 7-14 were given the opportunity to enter this year’s Gulf Writers’ Competition. Each year group chose a story opener from the list that was provided and the students were asked to complete the story in no more than 500 words. As you can imagine, with so many entries, it was a difficult first round of shortlisting in school. The chosen stories were then submitted, and judged by a panel of three former librarians and teachers. There were over 1000 entries in total from 22 schools across the Middle East which is a healthy number being the first time this competition has been run. We are very pleased to announce the winners from NAISAK who will all have their stories published in a ‘winners book’ which should hopefully arrive in June. Well done to all involved!

This March, more than 200 international educators from 15 countries around the globe will descend on Hanoi, Vietnam to innovate, problem solve and brainstorm at one of the world’s largest academic conferences.
Launched in January 2024, the YEY! Award (Young Entrepreneur of The Year Award) is a unique award developed by staff at NAISAK and is intended to enable NAISAK students to gather their brilliant entrepreneurial ideas and work with mentors to help communicate their ideas to others. The award is open for students from year 5-13.
