NAISAK’s primary school book fair, which took place in October, was an outstanding success! Students, teachers, and parents came together to celebrate their shared love of reading, explore a wide range of books, and support NAISAK’s commitment to literacy. This event, now a cherished fixture in our school calendar, not only sparked a passion for books but also helped strengthen our sense of community. We’re delighted to share the highlights of this year’s fair and offer a sneak peek at what’s to come in 2025.
Held in the school’s pong area, the book fair offered a vast selection of titles suitable for all ages. From picture books for the younger children to chapter books for more advanced readers, there was something to suit everyone’s taste. The vendor tables were brimming with popular series, timeless classics, educational resources, and even a few delightful surprises for our young book lovers.
One of the key factors that made this book fair such a triumph was the active involvement of our school community. Teachers were on hand to recommend their favourite books to students, sparking thoughtful discussions about literature. Parents were equally engaged, offering advice to their children and, in some cases, selecting books for themselves. It was truly heartwarming to see families coming together to share in the joy of reading.
A special thank you goes to Cresent Bookshop, our trusted book fair partner, whose reliability and meticulous attention to detail ensured the event ran seamlessly. Their dedication to quality and customer service was evident throughout. From the timely delivery of books to the thoughtfully arranged displays, Cresent Bookshop went above and beyond to guarantee the event’s success. Their knowledgeable staff were always available to assist both students and staff in finding the perfect book. We are deeply grateful for their ongoing support and look forward to working with them again in the future.
Looking ahead, we’re pleased to announce that we’ve already booked another book fair with Cresent Bookshop, which will run from 23rd to 27th February 2025. We are confident that this upcoming event will be as successful as the October fair. With their continued support, we eagerly anticipate another engaging and inspiring experience for our students and families.
“Thank you, Cresent Bookshop, for being a reliable book fair vendor. Your attention to detail and commitment to quality is truly appreciated. We are looking forward to another successful book fair,” said Ms. Tania Islam, our school librarian.
The October book fair was a wonderful celebration of reading, learning, and community. It served as a timely reminder of the power of books to shape young minds and nurture a lifelong love of learning. We are grateful to everyone who participated and supported the event, and we can’t wait to welcome you all back for the next one in February 2025
