WHAT DO YOU LOVE ABOUT ABU DHABI, AND WHAT EXCITES YOU THE MOST ABOUT JOINING NAS ABU DHABI?

I love the culture! I’m looking forward to raising my daughter in a place that’s known for being family driven. I cannot wait to learn even more about the country and meet other parents like me who have decided to raise their family in the UAE.

I’m extremely excited about joining NAS Abu Dhabi and being one of the founding teachers of such an amazing school. What excites me the most is knowing that languages will be at the core of the school. Learning languages is extremely important, and I’m excited by the opportunities our students will have to learn. I love how NASAD values everyone’s languages and heritage and how our classes and experiences will reflect that.

WHAT ARE YOU MOST LOOKING FORWARD TO ONCE THE SCHOOL OFFICIALLY OPENS?

I’m looking forward to finally meeting the students and their families on the first day in school after the summer holiday. I know that we’ll build an incredible community together! Of course, I’m also excited to meet the amazing team of teachers who will be starting with me. I know we will work together to support students to have the best school experience possible, and help them become global citizens with a growth mindset. I’m also looking forward to offering various co-curricular activities to both primary and secondary students, creating so many exciting memories for all our students.

WHAT DO YOU FEEL MOST PASSIONATELY ABOUT?

I’m passionate about languages. I’ve lived abroad for more than 10 years and have been teaching for almost a decade. I’ve always had a strong interest in languages, even from an early age. Having lived in France, Spain, England, Vietnam, and more recently Romania, I’ve encountered different cultures and appreciate that by speaking a foreign language, you can better understand people’s culture. I also have a strong interest in art, STEAM and sports and I am a keen Crossfitter.

WHAT ARE YOUR PASSIONS AND INTERESTS?

I’m a flexible person and keen on getting involved in different aspects of school life. I believe it’s our duty as global citizens to take care of the planet, so I’m also very interested in sustainability and how to support young minds in getting involved in social outreach. During my time teaching in Vietnam, I was fortunate enough to attend a workshop on upcycling that inspired my Year 12 students and I’d love bring this experience to NAS Abu Dhabi.

I have a strong interest in art too! During my time at the British International School Hanoi, I supported the performing arts by creating the set designs for our musicals with the secondary students and the art department. I loved being part of the International Art Week as well as with different creative activities for the Community, Action, Service (CAS) programme.
