An incredible achievement for our students, who have been named Best Financial Literacy Initiative Winners at the Financial Literacy Champions Programme, powered by Ma’an Abu Dhabi and led by our partners, Squirrel Education.
We often talk about the transformational value of experiences outside the classroom, and this programme has been a perfect example. Through expert-led workshops and mentorship, they refined their ideas, tackled challenges, and gained invaluable skills along the way. Last Wednesday, they took the stage for their final pitch, presenting their work in just three minutes and impressing the judges with their vision and confidence. This experience has shown just how much students can achieve when they apply their learning to real-world challenges. The skills they’ve gained will stay with them far beyond this programme, shaping the way they approach financial decisions in the future.
“In just three minutes, they pitched an after-school club to teach students personal finance, covering savings, spending, and borrowing. They presented their idea, planned how it would work, who’d be involved, and what resources they’d need. Their dedication was outstanding, staying until 7:00 PM while fasting for Ramadan. They created something simple, engaging, and most importantly, doable. Turning an idea into action is no small feat, and they absolutely nailed it,” said Mr Daniel Brade, our Economics and Business teacher.
The impact of this programme will go far, and we couldn’t be prouder of our students for leading the way.
For children, stepping up to the edge of a swimming pool can mean stepping far beyond their comfort zone. Whether it's diving in for the first time, racing against a clock, or facing the nerves of a gala, swimming offers a space where young people can build confidence in ways that go well beyond the water.
Last Friday, we brought language learning to life with our Languages Festival 2025.
Nord Anglia International School Abu Dhabi is preparing to welcome its first Year 12 students in August, marking an important step forward for the school’s expanding Secondary programme.
As we prepare to open our doors to our first Year 12 cohort in August, we were excited to host our first-ever A Level Insight Evening last week. Students had a chance to meet subject teachers, connect with peers, and get a feel for the school environment they’ll soon be a part of.
