MIT-Nord Anglia STEAM Collaboration - MIT Student Trip 2026

We’re proud to share that Boka, a Year 10 student, will be going on the MIT Student Trip 2026 next November as part of the MIT-Nord Anglia STEAM Collaboration.

After completing an impressive project to earn her place, Boka will join 68 students from over 50 Nord Anglia schools worldwide for workshops, lectures, tours, and collaborative projects.

The Nord Anglia Education-MIT Student Trip is a global STEAM opportunity that gives selected students the chance to spend a week at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, one of the world’s leading universities. During the trip, students take part in hands-on workshops, hear from researchers and students, and work on real-world challenges alongside peers from Nord Anglia schools around the world. It’s an exciting way for students deepen their interest in STEAM, think creatively, and experience university-level learning first-hand. These experiences are designed to spark curiosity, creativity, and collaboration.

Boka shared: “I am super excited to be representing NAS Abu Dhabi on my upcoming trip to MIT! My focus will be on advancing my project: a sustainable, biodegradable straw made from sugarcane rind. This idea was inspired by the devastating impact of plastic pollution on marine life, and the environment. I’m so eager to utilise the high-tech facilities and world-class expertise solutions that MIT has, in order to make my idea a reality. Looking forward to it!”

We can’t wait to share more about Boka’s experience in Cambridge, Massachusetts!
