Northbridge congratulates our Junior Girls and Boys basketball teams on an amazing end to their season. This past weekend both teams competed in the first ever ASAC Junior Basketball tournament here at NISC and made our school very proud.

The Nagas has a busy weekend competing with schools from Vietnam, Thailand and one other Cambodian school.

The boys had both our A and B's team in the tournament, which made things especially enjoyable when they played each other. The B team worked so hard all weekend and kept playing thier best against much older and more experienced opponents. The boys ended the weekend in 6th place, and Yuth Tha was named all tournament athlete for the team.

The Boys A team had a very successful weekend, and season. The boys had one loss over the tournament during an intense overtime game to ISHCMC in the round robin games. The boys along with Coach Austin took time to reflect on their game and improve their strategies to face ISHCMC in the finals. The boys worked incredibly hard all tournament and it paid off as they won the championship game.  Phearun Montross, Asia Kouch and Kim Vin Poeu were selected as the boys all tournament athletes. The boys ended the season with a final record of 17 wins, 2 losses and two championship titles.

The NISC girls team ended a very successful season with an excellent tournament. The nagas were able to win 4 of their 5 game during the round robin play losing only to VSTC. These excellent performances put the girls into the finals against that very same team. The Nagas worked hard throughout the game and took the 2nd place. Mr. Nick and the girls are to be commended on their hard work and energy in this weekends ASAC tournament. They had a commanding presence on the court and worked very well as a team, always encouraging each other.  Meta Pich and Vichka Khorn were named the all tournament athletes for the team. The girls have had an outstanding season winning the local final, being finalist at ASAC and only having 5 losses the entire season.
