Last weekend, seven of our Northbridge International School Cambodia Nagas swimmers traveled to Kuala Lumpur to participate at the British International School of Kuala Lumpur Nord Anglia Education Friendly Swim Meet.
Our fearless swimmers were dominant throughout the meet managing to gather a grand total of 29 medals (18 gold, 9 silver, and 2 bronze).
Their outstanding performance led to a great achievement as they came back with an award as the 'Most Effective Team Overall', out of five Nord Anglia schools participating with around 200 swimmers.
Please join us on congratulating our swimmers: Natasia, Sovann, Min Suk, Adi, Mikhaela, Barnaby and Alirio Jr.
We also want to thank Ms Lucy and Mr Andy for leading this team of young amazing athletes during this amazing journey to success.
Go Nagas!
Last week, our second annual NISC Cup kicked off, with four schools and over one hundred students facing off to see who would be taking home the silverware on offer in separate boys’ and girls’ competitions. Last year CIA girls’ team won a thrilling final and were hoping that the cup would be returning to their school for a second year in a row, while our own NISC boys’ team were hoping to retain their hard won 2023 title.
The other week I was in Bangkok at the ASAC Basketball Tournament that is open for Grade 6 – 8 students from 9 competing schools across South East Asia. It gave me some time to reflect on the benefits and opportunities that our Northbridge students can access that will develop them holistically and physically.
Here at Northbridge International School Cambodia, we have the privilege of having an amazing 25 meter undercover swimming pool on campus. The school swim program is embedded in our curriculum from EL2 to Grade 10.
