Northbridge International School Cambodia is proud to announce its partnership with The Startup Studio, as part of the the Florida-based company's continuing ongoing global mission to bring real and sustainable change inside of education.
The Startup Studio has been built to serve the education market as a powerful solution company interested in accomplishing their goal of bringing students real outcomes of Empowerment, Performance and Wellness.
All of this is accomplished by giving students access to the entrepreneur’s journey as the best discipline by which to allow them to experience risk and failure, two critical components often missing inside of their school experience.
The company was Founded by Gary Conroy a serial entrepreneur after he developed a program in 2014 for Windermere Preparatory School, a Nord Anglia School situated in Windermere, Florida.
Today, the company is focused on scaling its programming throughout the world and has established an office in Vietnam to help support their interest in serving the Southeast Asian market. While the company has conducted multiple workshops in the area the partnership with NISC marks The Startup Studio’s first partner school that will offer their entire three year Learn to Start Program.
“Entrepreneurship is a life skill that takes many years to develop,” said Conroy. “We have to stop telling students sensational stories about methodologies that ensure a speedy path from Startup to IPO. That is not the reality. Entrepreneurship is first about knowing yourself and believing that you can sustain an independent economy. It is a learn by failure discipline, and it begins with story and understanding who you are and what it is you are passionate about. The foundation of Entrepreneurship Education, therefore, needs to be about long-term mentorship and experiential learning.”
The Startup Studio is partnering with multiple education providers throughout the world both at the High School level, as well as the University level, to provide cutting-edge curriculum using their trade-marked model in education. In addition, The Startup Studio provides Learn to Start Training and Certification for Educators and will be launching curriculum guides for the entire K-12 market in 2020.
“We are thrilled to be launching our program at NISC as we look to bring the community there a new idea in education.” said Conroy. “It has been such a privilege to work with Richard and his team and we are beyond excited to see what we will accomplish together as we all work together to bring students the skills they need to Learn to Start.”
