The BIS Abu Dhabi family celebrated one of the most important occasions on our school calendar, the Birth of Prophet Muhammed (PBUH) Al-Mawlid Al-Nabawwi.

This year we celebrated this special event by organising individual assemblies for both Primary and Secondary. During the assemblies, students displayed their enthusiasm and passion. They were able to answer questions that reflected their understanding of the UAE culture and Islamic values. During each assembly, students led a competition related to the life of the Prophet Muhammad (BPUH).

Primary students actively participated in a play which taught them to be tolerant and kind towards each other. They engaged in classroom activities, such as writing down their values and morals, which they learnt from the assembly. These were hung on a big heart, which represented our love for each other.

The Secondary students prepared their own assemblies. Year 10 students wanted to send a message of tolerance, and thought out of the box by organising a play about how in BIS Abu Dhabi, despite coming from different religions and background we have the same values.

The play also told us about Prophet Muhammed (PBUH) and what everyone can learn from him. Students in the audience shared their knowledge by answering questions on the main lessons from the Prophet. All secondary students felt the happiness of this occasion. It was very insightful to see how our BIS Abu Dhabi students demonstrated a true sense of morality.
