The General Certificate of Secondary Education (GCSE) and International GCSE (IGCSE) are the formal qualifications received at the end of Key Stage 4 (Years 10 and 11) at The British International School Abu Dhabi.All students are required to study a set of Core Subjects, which are a mixture of IGCSE and non-IGCSE subjects. In addition to the Core Subjects, all students must select up to 3 options to study at IGCSE level. Both GCSE and IGCSE are qualifications recognised by Universities and employers around the world.
All students must study these subjects, unless stated:
English Language, English Literature, Mathematics, Science, PE, Arabic and Islamic (Muslim students only).
