Education is about much more than lessons and qualifications, important though they are. We offer our students experiences designed to be fun, challenging, inspiring, and motivating.
Learning outside the classroom is an important part of our students’ development. We are very fortunate to have access to some outstanding outdoor opportunities in this region. These outings include visits to the theatre, art galleries, wildlife sanctuaries and parks, outdoor residential trips, mosques and places of historical and cultural interest.
The residential trips are some of the most eagerly anticipated visits each year. For example, Year 6 students stayed in a purpose built camp in Dibba where they went kayaking, orienteering, rock climbing, mountain biking and trekking. They took a full day Dhow trip to experience the local sea and coast line and to take part in water sports such as snorkelling.
Each year, GCSE and IB students travel to Tanzania in a life-changing experience as they work to make a lasting impact on the local community of Arusha. Students immerse themselves in the service work within the community, raising the quality of life and education for people in the area so that they can direct their own future and develop within their means.
With all of our trips, comprehensive risk assessments ensure that even the most exciting and challenging trips are safe and secure for the children in our care.
