Assile AlAmili

Assistant Headteacher - Arabic

Ms AlAmili joined BIS Abu Dhabi in 2018 bringing a wealth of experience with a degree of Master of Education, majoring in Educational Leadership and Administration with high distinction, and a Bachelor degree of Art in Arabic literature

With a degree of Master of Education, major of Educational Leadership and Administration with high distinction, a Bachelor degree of Art in Arabic literature, a certified school inspector, a certified international professional trainer, I have spent more than ten years in teaching different age range in highly achieved schools and organisations such as GEMS Jumeirah Primary School, Brighton College, American community school, and the Centre for British teachers (cfbt).  Moreover, I have gained a significant experience in the middle and the senior leadership, where I had the opportunity to raise the Arabic department profile and increase the staff and the students motivations which had a positive impact on their teaching and learning performance.
During the last few years, I have devoted my time to advocate education in different ways. For instance, I was involved in UAE schools’ inspections to provide schools with guidance and recommendations. I offered trainings to teachers in and outside the doors of my schools.  I lead workshops in UAE and abroad. I was a speaker in many educational events such as Zayed international conference, Bett, MENA summit, the ministry of education in Georgia … etc. Furthermore, I worked as a professional trainer for the school solution which is mainly based in California to help teachers build the teaching skills and improve their competency.
I am certain that joining BIS Abu Dhabi would enhance my experience, refine my practices, amend my personal and professional perceptions, and allow me to learn better, especially with the professional development trainings that it is offered by Nord Anglia university throughout the year.  Therefore, I am very excited to lead, support and learn from the Arabic staff and collaborate with the senior leadership team. It is, indeed, my mission to promote the positive working environment and make a significant improvement in students, teachers and middle leaders performance in the Arabic department.
My free time is full of activity, particularly with swimming, indoor cycling workout, yoga classes I attend with my friends, magnificent opera shows at the opera house of Dubai, watching the artistic awarded movies, and attending speeches and events in New York University of Abu Dhabi.  In addition, I enjoy sitting with my children to help them with the preparation of the extra academic awards such MUN, the world scholar cup and debates.
