My teacher training was based in Swansea, South Wales, where I taught from EYFS up to KS2. I then decided to move to East London to start my teaching career, where I stayed for 3 years. I taught in both Reception and Year 1 before deciding to make the move to Abu Dhabi. I moved to Abu Dhabi in 2013, teaching in KG1 and Year 1. My background is predominately Early Years, which I specialised in during University and have been fortunate enough to spend most of my teaching career.
I thoroughly enjoy making a difference in each child's life. In my spare time I like to keep myself active, which involves going to the gym and swimming. I also enjoy reading a variety of books. Alongside, going to the gym and reading I also spend a majority of my times cooking for friends and family. I have also been fortunate enough to travel to many places around the world, one of my favourite places to visit recently was India, where I got to experience a different culture. When visiting my family and friends back in South Wales, we spend a lot of the time bike riding in the mountains and visiting many of the hidden waterfalls around the Welsh Valleys.
BIS Abu Dhabi school is different to all others I have worked at because I feel that the school allows me to grow personally and professionally. The school has a lot of facilities to offer, for the children, than ones I worked in before. At BIS I work with a range of different nationalities, as in my previous schools in Abu Dhabi my experience has been predominantly Emirati families.
