When I qualified as a Primary School Teacher I spent four years teaching in a rural country school in Cambridge, New Zealand. During my time teaching there I taught students from years one to four, specialising in the areas of Inquiry Learning and the Arts. I then accepted a job at a school that was purpose built as a Modern Learning Environment. In the two years spent there I developed a multitude of skills around collaboration and innovation in the classroom.
I am a friendly and sociable person who enjoys keeping fit and active. I am passionate about music and can play a range of instruments, including guitar, piano, flute, and the drums. My husband and I are also involved in a range of sports, such as squash, running and football. I enjoy travelling and experiencing a range of cultures from around the world.
The British International School of Abu Dhabi has so much to offer teachers and students. The facilities within the school are modern and have been built to maximise the learning for all students. The students have the ability to connect with other Nord Anglia schools regularly, which helps to develop open-minded and culturally aware students. The school ensures that every student is achieving to the best of their abilities and ensures that their teachers are equipped with the resources and skills they need to do this.
