Natasha Fletcher

Year 1 Teacher and House Coordinator (Primary)

Ms Fletcher has worked across the Key Stages in the UK, Vietnam and Abu Dhabi.

After University I spent two years working with children leading adventurous activities, as a Ski Trip Leader in France and a Camp Leader at Camp America in Pennsylvania, USA. These experiences gave me the confidence to train as a Teacher, a profession I have loved for nine years now!

I trained in London, at St Mary’s University, where I completed three years of teaching in Year 1. I worked in both state and private schools which gave me a great breadth of experience. However, I craved adventures abroad, and made the decision to travel to Vietnam on a one- way ticket!

In Vietnam, I studied as an English Language Teacher and taught English to children and adults- which was great fun! I wanted to return to primary teaching and moved to an international school in Ho Chi Minh City. Here I found my love for the international school environment! I also enjoyed travelling and immersing myself in new cultures. I was lucky to visit ten new countries in my three years in Vietnam, as well as explore beautiful Vietnam.

After three years, I was ready for a new challenge and applied to work for The British International School  Abu Dhabi. I loved the friendly community of the school and meeting families from all over the world. The cultural opportunities, activities and sunshine across the country have also been fantastic!
