I completed my BA (Hons) Business Administration degree at the University of Hertfordshire in the UK, and following this I completed my PGCE in secondary Business, again at the University of Hertfordshire.
Once I finished my degree, I started my first teaching post in an outstanding school in Watford teaching Business and ICT. I was also the work experience and enterprise co-ordinator for 7 years. I had spent 14 wonderful years at St Michael’s Catholic High School and felt I needed a new challenge. It had always been my dream to teach in the Middle East and I feel honoured to be given this opportunity to be teaching Business at BIS Abu Dhabi. I felt the community spirit at BIS Abu Dhabi and I know my own children will thrive at the school with all the wonderful opportunities available to all the students.
I have a big passion for Business and felt that Business can offer students life skills that will guide them for the rest of their lives. It will teach them to adapt to the ever-changing world and support them in any career or business venture they decide to take in the future. I'm also a firm believer in every student should be given personal finance education within schools, allowing them to learn about bank accounts, credit cards, personal budgeting and managing everyday utility bills.
I moved to Abu Dhabi with my wife and three children who attend BIS Abu Dhabi. I love to spend time with my family doing lots of different activities in particular going to theme parks, and Zoos. In my spare time I love going to the cinema and watching a good comedy film. I love watching and supporting the Pakistan cricket team. I was an all-rounder in my younger days, but age has caught up with me so now I stick to just watching cricket.
