I am passionate about science, especially biology, which is my teaching specialism. I hold a PhD in Molecular Biology and Biotechnology; I subsequently became a fellow at the University of Oxford.
During my time in academia, I found both teaching and mentoring were the most rewarding aspects of my role, and this inspired me to become an educator. Consequently, I completed my Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) at Homerton College, University of Cambridge.
As I worked in research, I have a keen understanding of scientific methodology and use my experiences to inspire students in the classroom. I am thrilled to be teaching science at the British International School Abu Dhabi because of the progressive, student-centred school ethos.
Recently my spare time is spent discovering the UAE.
