From 1-4 March, several members of our academic team attended a conference at Prague British School, one of our Nord Anglia Schools in Europe. The conference explored child centered and exciting ways to teach Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics (STEAM) in school to enable our students to be the scientists, engineers and professionals of tomorrow.
Throughout Foundation Stage at NAISAK, we already encourage our children to design, create and experiment through cross-curricular activities that follow their own interests. Some examples of the work we do includes children developing their programming skills through the use of bee-bots, using their scientific skills to discover the use of magnets and engineering their own cars and castles using the construction sets.
Since the conference, we have been inspired to develop even more opportunities for the children to learn and explore through STEAM to ensure they are prepared for the world and what lays ahead!
