Students from the the St. Andrews International School Bangkok golf team took part in the FOBISIA Golf Tournament from 13th -16th March 2017. This was a fantastic event where students played 3 rounds of golf on one of the best courses in Thailand (Laguna Phuket) and challenged themselves against some of the best young golfers from SE Asia.

This was a fantastic event where students played 3 rounds of golf on one of the best courses in Thailand (Laguna Phuket) and challenged themselves against some of the best young golfers from SE Asia.
All St. Andrews International School Bangkok golfers posted very good scores throughout the FOBISIA Golf Tournament in Phuket, Thailand with Hui Yi finishing 3rd in the U13 girls gross category and Ashwin 5th in the boys net category. Credit goes to all of the golfers for the way they played and conducted themselves. Well done to Martin, Hui Yi, Ashwin and Nick.
All students had the opportunity to socially interact and play golf with lots of students from other international schools and was a very rewarding experience.
STA students have been offered a discount fee to use the golf simulator at the OB Club above Big C in Ekamai. This is a great opportunity for students to improve their game or to play for fun. There is a selection of famous courses around the world to play on as well as virtual competitions. There is video recording technology which allows golfers to look at their swing and also records all data such as club head speed, trajectory, distances and much more. This data can also be saved and sent to mobile devices.
The discount can be used by students as long as they book in advance and show their STA ID cards. See below for details.
