PTG: Join the conversation this Wednesday

The PTG shares the agenda for the PTG meeting on Wednesday morning and encourages as many parents as possible to attend the meeting.

ptg meeting

The PTG will hold a meeting for all parents on Wednesday, 14 March 2018 at 08.00 a.m. The meeting will be held in the Exam Room on the 7th floor of the R Building (Library Building) at the Primary School.

Mr Bevin Clark, the Careers and University Counsellor at High School, will present the Week of Work Programme that is being launched for our Year 10 students.  Mr Bevin is hoping to garner the support of as many parents as possible to help him turn this project into reality and offer our Year 10 students the opportunity to experience a week of work in a field that they might be interested in pursuing in the future. This is an excellent opportunity for parents with children in the younger years to put a face to a name as Mr Bevin will play an important role in all students’ lives as they move through High School.

Other items on the agenda are: air quality, choice of charities, High School snacks, International Award Scheme, idling in the car parks, balance of homework and school-related activities and finally Fun Day. We will also inform parents about a Canteen Working Group that is being set up by the PTG Committee to address the on-going concerns of parents regarding the canteens in both the Primary School and the High School. If you have any questions, comments or concerns about the canteen food, please come to the meeting.  The more people that get involved and express an opinion, the more chance we have to affect positive change.

The PTG Committee has already raised all of the above-mentioned issues with the School.  The PTG meeting on Wednesday is an excellent opportunity for you to come and hear what progress is being made, as well as raise any issues that may be of concern to you. The more people that can come, the louder the collective voice we have.
