We know that body image is a concern for some of our students. It’s a common issue among young people that can affect mental and physical health – both positively and negatively – and have an impact on friendships and studies.
So, what is body image? And how can we support our students to be ‘body positive’? In this article, our experts answer these questions – as well as offering tips on supporting a child who may be experiencing challenges.

Life at St Andrews is fun and exciting. But we also understand that every student’s learning journey involves lots of hard work and academic pressure. This can cause our young people to feel stressed, whether it’s because of exams or coursework deadlines, or high expectations.
