Primary had a jam-packed week full of fun! Nursery Rhymes galore and floating krathongs to finish the week off. Christmas has also arrived with a Snowman spotted on campus!

Nursery Rhyme Week

Last week was also Nursery Rhyme Week. Classes from around the Primary School teamed up and shared Nursery Rhymes. Classes met via Google Meets and performed their rhymes. What was particularly fun about this event was that older students met with younger students to share the fun.

As well as performances, there were also costumes for dressing up. Thank you to Ms Bliss, our Head of Foundation 1 and 2, for organising the event.

Loy Krathong Celebrations

Last week, we celebrated Loy Krathong Festival. Over Thursday and Friday, students designed Krathongs in their Thai and Language classes, ready to take home and float with their families. A fantastic video was shared with the whole of Primary School, teaching us all about the festival’s history, meaning, and importance in Thai culture.

There was also a really great story acted out by some Year 6 students about a Naga, God of the Underwater World. All the Primary students enjoyed this famous Loy Krathong myth. The video used green screen technology for impressive backgrounds, and the actors wore terrific costumes. There was also a superb performance of the Loy Krathong song, sung by the students who were finalists in last year’s music competition.

Thank you to Kroo Joy and her team for all the hard work in this year’s ‘virtual’ celebration.

Christmas has Arrived at STA!

It’s so wonderful to see all the Christmas decorations around the school. The Estates team have been busy putting up the big trees, and the students have also been helping to decorate them. There has even been a snowman spotted! Thanks to Khun Wor and his team for all their efforts.

Medical Update

To enable our nursing team to provide medical care for your child, it is vital that we have up to date medical details and your consent for treatment and the administration of medicines.

As we now will be having students on campus, all parents must complete this information via the Health app in Moodle.
