I have had a varied and interesting career prior to coming to St Andrews International School Bangkok in 2017 for my first international teaching post. After studying Geography at the University of Leeds, I began working in the City for PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP. This was a position that took me all over the world and I was lucky enough to take part in projects in Moscow, Bengaluru, St. Louis and Geneva amongst many other places during my time there.
Having decided that I missed the world of academia, I completed an MA in Cities, Culture and Social Change at King's College, London before embarking on a career in teaching. I developed my passion for working in pastoral care in my previous role as Head of Upper School at a school in London and I am delighted to be part of the SWAP team as Head of Year at St Andrews as well as being able to share my interest in Geography. The opportunity that Bangkok offers to indulge my love of travelling, by being at the heart of Asia, is truly exciting; while my other interests include skiing, quizzes and following the fortunes of Aston Villa F.C.
