After graduating Bachelor of Science in Mathematics Education, I joined St Andrews in 2008 as a Learning Support Assistant. I have had an interest in inclusive teaching and learning, so I immediately grabbed the opportunity when I saw one here. It has always been my desire to educate students in various abilities and this is the reason why I think I belong here in St Andrews. From then on, my professional career moved to teaching mainstream Maths.
Since 2018, I have taken the role of being the (I)GCSE Exams Officer and in 2021, I am also taking the role of Deputy Head of Maths. Also since 2018, I have been working with the International Baccalaureate as an Examiner.
I married a beautiful woman in 2012. We had our first child back in 2014. She looks as lovely as her mother, which I am very happy about. In 2018, we had our second child, he also looks like her mother ;-) As you can imagine, I spend my time outside work with my family and I would say that I would always want to be with them.
In STA, we believe we can provide high quality education to every single student. We give time and effort to make sure our students live their lives happily and with progress. This should be the core of every educational institution and I am blessed to say that I have found it here.
