our teaching philosophy

Our teachers at St Andrews International School Bangkok know that success means something different to every student. They’ll take the time to really get to know your child – as well as their passions, strengths, and dreams for the future – and adapt how and what they teach to ensure they achieve their best.

To deliver our truly personalised approach, we only recruit the world’s most outstanding teachers. Our brilliant educators are highly qualified with a wealth of international experience. They never stop learning, either, supported by accreditation from world-leading training organisations and Nord Anglia University.

TEACHER-LED TECHNOLOGY

TECHNOLOGY THAT REIMAGINES LEARNING

At St Andrews, our teachers harness the power of interactive education technology (EdTech) to reinvent our students’ learning experience.

Logging on to our Global Campus learning platform unlocks a world of possibilities. Your child will connect with classmates in Nord Anglia schools across the globe and take on exciting international projects and challenges. They’ll also explore specially curated content from our partners, including MIT, UNICEF, and The Juilliard School.

Innovation flourishes in our design technology labs and Apple classroom, too, where state-of-the-art technology – including 3D printers and VEX Robotics equipment – brings STEAM learning to life.

HELPING OUR TEACHERS GROW

Like our students, our teachers never stop learning. This keeps them at the forefront of global education trends and ensures they deliver pioneering academic programmes and innovative learning experiences.
  • On the award-winning Nord Anglia University learning platform, our teachers share ideas and groundbreaking best practise. They can also study for further qualifications, including a Master’s in International Education with King’s College London.
  • Our specialist subject teachers benefit from expert training with Apple, MIT, The Juilliard School, and Kym Scott’s Early Excellence Programme.
  • Every IBDP teacher is certified and trained by the International Baccalaureate Organisation (IBO), which gives them the practical understanding and theoretical knowledge they need to guide our oldest students to success.

SETTING THE STANDARD

Our teaching standards are second to none. We’re proud to be judged outstanding by British Schools Overseas (BSO). We’ve also been praised by the Education Development Trust, who stated that the strength of our teaching enables every student to make excellent progress.

Supported by the global Nord Anglia Education team, we drive success in academia, quality assurance, accreditation, and safeguarding. We regularly assess our teachers against local and national benchmarks, as well as Nord Anglia’s stringent Quality Assurance framework. And through rigorous background screening, a strong safeguarding policy, and criminal record checks, we ensure our students are safe at school.
