A day for children, by children | World Children's Day A day for children, by children — is almost here, and our students are all taking part! World Children's Day 2019 marks 30 years since the establishment of children's rights.  Donate $1+ to UNICEF and wear blue all day and follow our social media channels to find out how our students will raise awareness of children's rights #NAEKidsTakeOver! file5d6f7d7ae68ae

Calling on the BISH Community to come together to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Convention of the Rights of the Child. World Children’s Day takes place on Wednesday 20th November and we hope this will be our biggest fund raiser for UNICEF yet!

We call on our WHOLE school community – staff, students, parents – to GO BLUE for World Children’s Day. Please see this You Tube video to see UNICEF’s youngest ambassador, Millie Bobby Brown, launching the Go Blue appeal.

We would like to collect a minimum donation of $1 from staff and students for dressing in blue on this day.

  • $1 can provide 40 days of clean water
  • $5 can feed a malnourished child for three days
  • $10 can provide lifesaving vaccinations for 54 children

On 20th November kids will take over the school. Students will run fun activities at break and lunchtime to help raise awareness of children’s rights and additional funds for UNICEF. Activities will include a blue bake sale, children’s rights scavenger hunt, pie your teacher in the face contest, UNICEF photo booth, and much more! Please can students bring in some small amounts of money on World Children’s Day so that they can participate in some of the fundraising activities.

Thank you & please don’t forget to GO BLUE FOR UNICEF!
