The British International School of Houston’s summer camp, known as ‘Camp Bulldog’, encourages your child to continue to grow through a variety of exciting summer skill-building activities. CREATE A SUMMER OF MAGIC AND DISCOVERY

Alongside a number of different environments for students to work and play in, the facilities at Camp Bulldog enable us to transform our classrooms into exciting bases for the students! Themes will relate to the different foci for the week and students will be able to play a part in creating the perfect environment for them to learn, play, collaborate and most importantly, enjoy every second of their time at camp.

DATES
Children may sign up for one week or all five weeks of camp, running from June 22nd 2026 – July 24th 2026. Camp will be closed on July 4th for American Independence Day.

TIME
Our Regular Day Camp runs from 9:00 am–3:00 pm. Our Extended Day runs from 7:30 am–5:30 pm.

LOCATION 

All of BIS Houston’s state-of-the-art facilities are available during Camp Bulldog. Our drop-off/pick-up location is in the parking lot near the tennis courts and turf/track field. Please ensure that your child is picked up promptly.

COST
Regular Day Camp is $550 per week and Extended Day Camp is $700 per week. There is also a $15 per week registration fee (used toward special events, field trips, external visitors). Costs include all activities such as swim, dance, daily activities, & daily snacks, etc. - costs below do not include lunch. Lunch is not included and should be packed for your child.

Don’t delay – catch a discount before it flies away!

  • Sign up by January – 15% discount 
  • Sign up by February – 10% discount

Refunds

Parents may cancel their registration up to a month in advance of their child’s start date at Camp Bulldog. Refunds of the camp fees (minus the $100 processing fee per child) may only be made when written notice of cancellation and a request for the refund have been received with at least four weeks in advance of the start of your child’s camp(s).

Late Fees

Campers who are not signed up for extended day must be collected no later than 3pm. Any late pick ups will incur the following charges:

  • 3-3:30pm pick up: $15
  • 3:30-4pm pick up: $30
  • Beyond 4pm: $50

CAMP BULLDOG DAILY INFORMATION

Here’s what you and your child can expect as part of our daily routine at Camp Bulldog.

CAMP BULLDOG GROUPS

Children aged from 4 - 10 are welcome to join us for weeks of fun, friendship and unforgettable memories here at Camp Bulldog! We ensure our campers are grouped by their age to make sure the right activities are provided.

SNACKS AND LUNCH

Please keep in mind that BIS Houston and Camp Bulldog are a NUT-FREE campus. Campers will be provided nut-free snacks daily, including ice pops and drinks to keep cool in heat. Your child will need a refillable water bottle everyday. Please send your child to camp with a packed lunch Monday through Thursday. Fridays are Pizza Days! Every Friday, Camp Bulldog will provide an exciting pizza and karaoke party!

The British International School of Houston’s first-rate facilities include many exciting bases for our summer camp activities. Camp Bulldog’s weekly themes shape the daily environment, where campers learn, play, collaborate, and have fun.

FACILITIES

The British International School of Houston’s facilities offer wonderful variety of environments for our students’ summer activities.  

Some of these include, but are not limited to: 

  • Gaga pits 
  • A spider web
  • Makerspaces 
  • The full-stage theatre and black box theatre 
  • The swimming pool 
  • Tennis courts 
  • The full-size track and field

Weekly Regulars

Swimming:
Our campers love time in the water and getting to use our swimming pool at least three times a week, is such great fun. Pool noodles, and kickboards are available to all campers. During our swim time, there are always Camp Bulldog group staff members present at the pool (CPR/First Aid certified), as well as a certified lifeguard. All staff are spread around the pool and positioned in specific areas to ensure best supervision. 


Pizza Friday:
Every Friday campers will be invited to a pizza party to celebrate all of their learnings for the week!

***There will also be an Open House every Friday afternoon. During this time, parents will be invited into Camp Bulldog to learn even more about what campers have accomplished and been learning during the week.***

CAMP BULLDOG’S SUMMER ACTIVITIES SCHEDULE

Campers may participate in arts, crafts, athletics, dancing, and swimming, as appropriate to their age. Each week has a specific theme and focus at Camp Bulldog.

Campers will explore life across the decades!

Superhero Academy (July 14th – July 18th)

Get ready for the ultimate adventure! Campers will unleash their superpowers to design and create a superhero training camp!
Activities include, but not limited to: 

Design superhero outfit
Design and tackle obstacle courses
To work as a team and solve a mystery, becoming true superheroes

Week 4

Animal Adventure (July 21st – July 25th)

Time to embark on an epic journey! Campers will explore the wild animal worlds around us!
Activities include, but not limited to: 

Create your own animal mask 
Design the perfect animal for the home or the wild
Play with real animals during a visit from a petting zoo

FAQs

  • Is there before- and after-care at Camp Bulldog?

    Yes! You may sign up for extended care at the time of registration.

  • Does my child have to be a student at BIS Houston to enrol in Camp Bulldog?
    No, every child between the ages of 4 though 12 is welcome to register.
  • What should I pack for my child each day?

    Please send your child to camp in comfortable clothing that they may be active in. Ensure they have athletic shoes (for example, no sandals, please).

    For pool days, your child should come to camp with their swimsuit on. Please pack a change of clothes, sandals, and a towel.

  • What supplies should I provide for my child to attend?
    Camp Bulldog provides all supplies for all activities. Children should bring their own lunches and water bottles each day.
  • How should I share my child's medical information or allergies with Camp Bulldog’s staff?
    There is a question on our registration page about medical information and allergies. Please ensure you complete this if your child has anything staff need to be aware of. If your child requires an Epipen or inhaler, please be sure to send that into camp (labelled) and give it to your child’s group supervisor at drop-off directly. Each Epipen will follow the child throughout the day.
