year 6 international parade

Over the last 48 hours lessons have been taught, children and staff have come and gone and the core business of learning has happened.

Alongside our ‘normal’ school routine I thought I would share with you the last 48 hours of ‘extras’. On Wednesday evening we hosted our Year 11 and Year 13 parents' evening. On Thursday morning Dr Szydlo, a chemistry teacher of 43 years from a leading London private school led two 90 minute chemistry shows for our Year 7-10 students in the IB Building.

On Thursday a huge number of parent volunteers arrived at school with quizzes, displays and most importantly food from their home countries to celebrate International Day.  The school was awash with national colours, a great reminder of the 70+ nations we represent as a school community.

After school yesterday our Primary School hosted Year 2-6 parents evenings whilst 25 student performances ran back to back in the school canteen as our Secondary School music recital took place.

Early this morning we enjoyed a brief music recital in the IB reception area whilst 8 of our class and instrumental music teachers set up for a day of Julliard music workshops over at our Dabrowskiego campus. Our Year 7-9 students have spent the morning in an MIT STEAM House competition constructing superhero ski jumps.

At 4pm today we break up for a very well deserved rest!

Wishing all our TBS families an enjoyable half term break.
