PIP coffee morning Tuesday 9th October

Our next event is the PIP secondary coffee morning on Tuesday 9th October in the IB learning centre.  We will have an expert from the secondary teaching staff talking to us about “Data and Exams”.  If you have children in years 5 and 6 you might find this topic of interest and you are more than welcome to come along.

International Day

The British School Warsaw will be celebrating International week throughout the week commencing 15th October and our International representatives are in the process of organising the PTA International Fair which will be held on Thursday 18th October.

If your country has a PTA representative, they will be in touch to ask for your help to share information about your country’s culture and food.  If you do not have a country representative, but would like to be involved, or you’re not sure who your country representative is, please do not hesitate to get in touch with Jessica.

Teacher’s Day 15th October

We are lucky to have such wonderful teachers and teaching assistants at TBS Warsaw, and there is a lovely Polish tradition, Teacher’s Day.  This year Teacher’s Day is on Monday 15th October, to celebrate your class friends will also be in touch looking for a class baker from each class to fill the staff room with yummy treats.

All cakes are delivered directly to the staff room on the morning of the 15th October, along with baskets of fruit for those staff who would prefer a healthier option.  Thank you very much in advance to those class bakers for the delicious cakes.

Second hand uniform

The second-hand uniform shop is open every Monday morning at Limanowskiego from 7.55am – 8.25am.  We have lots and lots of primary school uniform, a fair selection of secondary uniform, but most importantly for secondary students, we have new ties available direct from the uniform supplier which we are selling on at cost (40pln).

We’re happy to report that we have raised over 10,000pln this year alone through the shop.

Thank you for all your donations and to Jo for her hard work.

Charities

The charities working group had their first meeting this week.  With 16 enthusiastic people attending, it was a lively meeting.  It’s our biggest working group, full of great ideas, the first task the group are going to be taking on will be the Christmas giving tree – more details of this initiative after the half term.

It’s never too late to get involved, if you would like to hear more about the charities group’s work, please do not hesitate to get in touch with Sonia.

Finally, as always just to remind you follow and like our Facebook page. It’s a great way to find out about things going on at school and beyond.
