PTA Corner

You may have seen us out and about over the last couple of weeks, we’ve tried this term to be much more available to support new and returning families

PTA web

These are some of the things we’ve been busy with this term:

Please have a look from this page, and we invite you to join one of our closed parent groups which also features our community noticeboard.

  • The second-hand shop, which was open for most of the 1st week.
  • Sorting through and  returning lost property
  • Providing information and support at the end of the school day
  • Linking up new families with returning families at the Back to School Fete
  • Hosting a “Meet and Mix” coffee morning

We’ve really enjoyed meeting and talking to so many of you, not only new, but also returning families.

If you would like to become more involved with the PTA or are an existing volunteer (class friend, international country representative, event volunteer or on the charities group) we would be delighted to see you at our upcoming parent ambassador event.

Date: Tuesday 18 September

Time: 8.15am

Venue: IB Dining Hall (basement of the IB building)

You can meet parent ambassadors who are already part of our group of volunteers and become part of one (or more) of these teams.

  • Dabrowskiego team
  • Limanowskiego class representatives
  • International country representatives
  • Secondary team
  • Second Hand Uniform & Lost Property
  • Events supporters
  • Events team
  • Charities team

Please come along and find out more.

Another up and coming event takes place on the Thursday 20th September, when the Parents in Partnership presentations will begin. This will be held from 8.30am in the IB Learning Centre (ground floor of the IB building).

These events are aimed at secondary parents, although parents with children in years 5 and 6 may also have an interest and are very welcome to come along.  There will be information on a range of topics as well as giving you an opportunity to get together and discuss issues which may be common to us all.

We very much hope to see you either at our parent ambassador event or at the Parents in Partnership presentation.

We always love to hear from you, we welcome any input you have to the PTA and any ideas you have for new areas of work please contact us

Best wishes

Elaine Hiser
