Year 7 visited Park Stanisława Dygata for a fun afternoon of getting to know their peers and form tutors.
Luckily the weather remained dry with dark clouds looming throughout the afternoon, but this did not seem to be a problem for Year 7 students as they enthusiastically threw themselves into the planned activities.
It was great to see the students working as a team and helping each other with the different activities that included The Human Knot, Limbo, Rounders, Capture the Flag and a number of other team building activities.
Year 8 headed to Powsin Park ready to bond and interact with each other whilst having the opportunity to let off some steam after the demanding first two weeks of lessons. The large open areas of Powsin Park provided a great opportunity for games such as Capture the Flag, Ultimate Frisbee and Football Rounders - three games aimed at team building and collaboration.
As with our Year 7 students, the threat of rain did not deter our dynamic students, who participated enthusiastically and wholeheartedly in the events; nor did it dampen their spirits at the picnic lunch.
The afternoon provided our students with a great opportunity to make new friends and re-establish old ones; equally giving our new Year 8 Form Tutors time to learn about their new tutees' strengths and skills.
