Surviving Exams – a guide for parents

Stressed about your child’s exam stress? Check what you can do.

Exam stress

Today I would like to introduce you to ReachOut.com, an internet service for young people, parents and teachers that provides information, support and resources about mental health issues and enables children to develop resilience, increase coping skills, and facilitate help-seeking behaviour.

The exams are coming and stress around this time doesn’t  just impact only the person sitting the exams; it can also be difficult for the whole family. It’s important to learn how to support your teenager during exam time, in order to help them manage their stress and to reduce any tension at home. ReachOut Parents has over 140 fact sheets and practical tools. Here are a few that will help you to support your teenager with exam stress:

  1. Help my Teenager Manage Exam Stress
  2. Surviving the HSC - a Study Guide For Parents
  3. How Your Teen Can Manage Distractions
