Welcome Back and Happy New Year from Head of Secondary

We start the new year in Secondary with plenty of action; raising funds for Tanzania with a ‘Bright Africa’ themed non-uniform day, internal examinations for Year 12 and IB taster lessons for Year 11 students.

Ski Photo

These taster lessons are a vital component of the preparation strategy for our Year 11 students. It will help prepare and inform them for further study after their IGCSEs and is part of a wider package of informative presentations, PSHE lessons and parental consultations which will give our students a solid understanding of the IB Diploma offer along with its requirements, structure and benefits.

Next week we say farewell to the first group of students who secured a place on the Nord Anglia Tanzania Expedition. These Year 10 students have been busy raising funds for the building materials they will use to enhance the lives and communities of Arusha in Tanzania by constructing goat sheds, school desks and smokeless stoves for example. Yesterday we welcomed back the KS3 ski trip – it was wonderful to hear what a great time they had in Les Martinets, more photos to follow.

Enjoy your weekend!
