There has been a tangible buzz around the Primary School this month with the arrival of some amazing new robotics equipment

  • Spheros 8

This equipment includes: Sphero robots, LEGO Boost robotics, NOVATION LaunchPads and MAKEY MAKEY Invention kits (developed at MIT).

The equipment represents far more than just robotics and coding, they are a toolset that is unbounded in its potential by weaving hardware, software, creativity and invention together. While coding and 21st century skills are necessary, we are going beyond code by incorporating robotics and technology with collaborative STEAM activities, nurturing students’ imaginations in ways unimaginable even 10 years ago.

KS2 and KS3 students had the opportunity this week to use  Novation Launchpads to compose modern film music which will be added to an animated film.
