Where are you from originally?
I am originally from Athens, Greece.
Have you lived in any other countries?
I have taught Biology, Chemistry and Physics for DP, in Sweden, Dubai and Vienna.
Where and what did you study for your education?
I studied Biology at the University of Athens and I have been trained in Molecular Biology and DNA technologies as well as in using technology in education as an Apple teacher. Before working as a Secondary Science teacher, I was a field researcher for EU Life programs for endangered species, and I was the illustrator and co-author of a published field guide on fauna and flora. My teaching career as Secondary Science teacher started almost twenty years ago, while I have also been an IBDP teacher and examiner since 2009.
How long have you been at TBS Warsaw?
I joined TBS Warsaw a few weeks ago and I am already amazed by the fantastic team and the wonderful students.
What do you enjoy most about teaching at our school?
What I love about teaching at TBS Warsaw, is that the students are inquisitive and I can apply interactive learning that promotes serendipity.
What are you most looking forward to in the 2019/2020 academic year?
For the 2019/2020 academic year, I look forward to contributing to the strong foundations of the IBDP Science at TBS Warsaw.
Whose your favourite historian/scientist/literary figure and why?
My role model in Science is Nicola Tesla as I admire his ingenuity and his work that is a paradigm shift. My favorite author is Theodore Dostoevsky, who is a genius in delving into human character.
What is your favourite thing about living in Warsaw, Poland?
My favorite part of living in Warsaw is that it is such a green city, with beautiful parks but I also, admire the history and pride of the brave Polish people.
What do you miss most from home?
What I miss most from home is the sun and the good food.
