I am happy to see so many of the secondary students participate in this tournament including members of our Year 13 graduating class. This is particularly pleasing to see at a time when Year 13 students face an incredible pressure of various deadlines and assignments to be completed. It shows that combining academic success, in the demanding educational programme such as IB, with high achievement in sport is possible after all. Playing volleyball is certainly not the only extracurricular area where students combine success with academic progress. Yesterday’s music recital showed again how talented our students are when playing piano or violin, or singing a beautiful song.
This weekend’s volleyball tournament and yesterday’s Primary & Secondary Music Recital demonstrates the idea of renaissance multi-dimensional “Leonardo Da Vinci” education, which finds its reflection in our curriculum, extra-curricular programme and our community life. I strongly encourage you to drop by the school tomorrow and to support our secondary volleyball teams on their way to the top as well as to join us for our next music recital.
