Message from our Head of Early Years

This week at Dab I have been reflecting on the progress the children have made since September.

  • t

In Read, Write, Inc lessons, the children have been very engaged and their confidence has grown greatly when reading. It is great to see the children using the skills taught, sounding out and blending, across the curriculum. They enjoy showing me how to use ‘fred fingers’ to help them when writing.

Last week, saw the launch of ‘Tapestry’ in Early Years. It has been great to see so many parents log on and see their child’s learning and we hope you now know more about learning in the class room. Thank you for sharing the children’s learning at home with us.

I would also like to thank ‘Sharks’ for an incredible class assembly today. It was a great start to the Year 1 Class Assemblies.
