The passion with which the pupils presented their projects made me incredibly proud.
Our fantastic Year 6 Science club pupils, Daniel C., Luke B.-P. and Arsenii V. wowed the judges with their knowledge of genetic engineering and their project to produce 'glow in the dark' bacteria. Maxim M. from pre-IB built his own wind tunnel to model aerodynamic wings using dry ice and Ewa K., also from pre-IB treated us to an insight into the inner workings of the human body using herself as a model to display all the organ systems (see photo below).
Our STEAM showcase pupils displayed the range of wearable technology they had invented including t-shirts that change colour in different pollution levels and hi-tech glasses that allow you to manage your life through the touch of a button.
There were so many amazing projects and it was such a pleasure to see so many teachers and parents at the event supporting the pupils.
Special thanks goes to Ania, Dominika and Christian in Year 13 who helped coordinate the event as part of their CAS project for IB and especially to Miss Hoyland and Mr Ormanczyk who organised and led the STEAM and pre-IB pupils respectively in their projects.
Our judges will be announcing the winners in various categories next week, watch this space!
