TBS STEAMrolling into the Future

In the summer term, TBS are excited to be launching the first ever European and Middle East #NAEMIT Regional Festival

  • Steam

The plan is to expose more and more students to the #NAEMIT way of thinking, doing and being. Our vision, is to Prepare the Pioneers of Tomorrow’s World to invent the future; and the further development of the #NAEMIT collaboration is helping support our STEAM mission.

The festival will host 12 schools from around the Middle East and European region – totaling over 200 students. Invitations to TBS students in Year 6, 7 and 8 have also gone out last week, encouraging our students to partake in the festival and we look forward to confirming TBS participants soon!

This festival makes for a fantastic opportunity for intercultural and interdisciplinary learning for all students involved, while also helping develop and build the core skills of our students which are required to excel in the world of tomorrow.

The festival will kick off with a major opening ceremony, followed by a range of STEAM workshops (run by TBS teachers as well a range of visiting expert speakers). These workshops will expose students to a range of STEAM technologies and ways to approach problems creatively. Following the workshops, there will be a team project, where students must complete a set challenge and task over the course of one day! There will then be a showcase and closing ceremony on the final day!

We look forward to an enriching festival for all involved and the organising team are look forward to sharing with you more information about the STEAM festival in the coming weeks.

Remember to follow the Nord Anglia Education STEAM movement on Twitter using the hashtag #NAEMIT.
