Counting for a Worthy Cause

In Venus this week, we have been looking at calculating decimals.

  • Counting Fun 1
  • Counting Fun 2
  • Counting Fun 3
  • Counting Fun 7
  • Counting Fun 8

We have focussed on adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing decimals of varying numbers to devleop our understanding.

Using our understanding, we were set the challenge of taking all the money (coins) that we have collected throughout the year in our various charity drives and counting it. We had great fun seperating all the money and counting all the coins. We found that we have managed to raise over 2700PLN in coins alone this year, as you can imagine this took a long time to count, and the children even switched with even other to ensure that we had all counted the money correctly.

Thanks to Venus Year 5 class!
