This beautiful story, in which the good outweighs the evil, conveys the universal truth that what you put out into the world will be returned to you. It also reminds us about respecting the children’s rights.

The musical “Oto Oliver” combines the beautiful music and dance with the mysterious atmosphere and lots of humour.

Our students throughly enjoyed the experience.

Here is what they said about it:

Helena Rubik, Year 6 Alder

We went to see 'Oliver Twist' in Polish and I liked it a lot as the actors were so good! I could understand most of it even though Polish is not my first language. I particularly enjoyed it when the actors contacted and asked for the audience's opinion. It was pity though as there were a few spoilers hanging on the walls during the mid way break!

Tom Lambrecht, Year 6 Alder

Aleksandra Janiak, Year 5 Jupiter

Zofia Rutkowska, Year 5 Jupiter

On Tuesday  Year 5 went on an extremely exciting Polish trip to Rampa Theatre to watch Oliver Twist (in Polish!). We travelled by bus and it took around 45 minutes. When we got there my arms were trembling, I was so nervous and thrilled at the same time (at least it helped me with my Polish vocabulary). My favourite character was Oliver because he was so thoughtful and considerate. Some parts were really spine – chilling and others quite touching. First I found it difficult to understand but Rita sat next to me and explained me some stuff. I was really impressed with the actors especially the kids because their costumes looked so real! My favourite part was when all the actors came on to the stage and performed a really cool song where we could clap along.

I hope we will go there again because I had a lot of fun and it was awesome!

Alex Andrusz, Year 5 Saturn
