Going Truly Global in Global Perspectives!

Year 10 Global Perspectives students took part in a global lesson last week as part of the Global Perspectives Week promoted by the Cambridge Examination board (CIE).

Testing students' abilities to determine the authenticity and trustworthiness of sources, our pupils effectively joined thousands of their peers in the same lesson - and pushed their researching skills to the limit!

The Global Perspectives (GP) youngsters were first of all challenged on their ability to spot phoney tweets, then provide evidence for spotting good evidence and finally offer up their own top tips on source reliability. This information will then be shared on a global platform at Cambridge allowing true international mindedness and global citizenship to take place! This concept lies at the heart of good GP; actively raising awareness and doing something with research rather than just reporting the facts

The astonishing thing about Friday's double lesson was the fact that in hundreds of school across the globe, our students were working together virtually in a 'global classroom' with their generational peers, demonstrating that our Global Perspectives students really are truly international and are now inspired global citizens!"
