Message from the Head of Early Years

The children have not stopped amazing me this week with their eagerness to learn.

Early years boy at home

The children have all worked hard this week and I am proud of their achievements. From watching the children practise butterfly breathing in Nursery and Pre-Nursery to the children investigating capacity in Reception and Year 1 retelling the story of Beegu.

If you have not done so yet making a timetable for your day can be helpful. This can include time for school, rest, movement time and meal times. The children can make a visual timetable, drawing pictures showing what they can do at each time.

It is important to have time away from the screen during the day. Listening to stories can be a great way to support children’s language development. Below are some links to audible stories that you and your child can enjoy listening to.

Thank you once again for your continued support. I've also have a video message for the students below, I hope you have an enjoyable weekend.

Kind regards,

Kay Parker-McMahon
