Nursery Journeys to Space; 'Whatever Next'

As the Nursery class have been unable to travel into school this week, our virtual school experience has taken us on a trip beyond planet Earth...

...and we ventured with Baby Bear on his trip to the moon as we read 'Whatever Next'.

It has been another busy week as we have created sensory experiences with materials found in our homes and created our own rockets. It is wonderful to see the creativity of our families as they are embracing the activities and opportunities being provided by the teachers and hearing individual messages of enjoyment and success of the children's learning at home.

Alongside our story theme this week, we have continued to develop children's phonic skills, introducing the new sound 'o' and exploring different ways of using our voices - making trumpets is sure to have been an activity of great enjoyment for the Crocodiles, Tigers and Elephants. We have continued to develop our numerical skills this week, through a rocket launch countdown and completing our 0-10 set of number cards.
