Year 8 Geographers used both their IT skills and sketching capabilities this week to complete their tasks online; sketching accuracy goes a long way in Geography, attempting to model concepts that aren't always perfect in nature.
Hence our Year 8's are learning to draw cacti as part of their Ecosystems unit on Hot Deserts, looking at how plants and animals adapt in this hot, dry biome. Here are some examples of how the virtual school experience is taking off in Geography, showing that, like the creatures and vegetation they are studying, adaptation skills are critical to survival!.
