The teachers have really enjoyed hearing and seeing you. Please remember the points below when you are using ‘Zoom’
1. Ensure that the environment where the call takes place is suitable e.g. not in the child’s bedroom.
2. Ensure the child is fully dressed.
3. Parents must be present during the meeting.
4. Manage conversations in the background as these will no longer be private!
The teaching videos will remain on Tapestry and Seesaw so if there is anything your child has been unable to see or would like to see again, they can.
This week it has been fantastic to see the children’s Easter Bonnets. They are incredibly creative, from Frozen themes to chicks and shapes. It has also been interesting listening to some children describe their hats.
Please remember that play is incredibly important for children of this age. Early childhood theorist Lev Vygotsky said, ‘A child’s greatest achievements are possible in play’. Through play children have the opportunity to make sense of concepts such as patterns, shape and number; put words together to make sentences, test out new ideas and build confidence and independence when they master new skills. Please continue to support your child through play during the Easter holiday.
Your child’s Spring report will be emailed to you by your class teacher on Wednesday 29th April. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask.
Thank you for your continued support and feedback. I hope you have an enjoyable Easter.
