International Children's Day

For those of you that do not know "International Children's Day" is an annual event celebrated every year on June 1st.

In 1925, Children's Day was first introduced in Geneva during the World Conference on Child Welfare. It became more globally recognised when it was renamed "International Children's Day" in 1952 and has been celebrated in Poland ever since.

Although many of the events and activities at school, and throughout the country, will not be able to take place this year due to social distancing restrictions in Secondary we will mark the occasion virtually. On Monday during our KS3 Assembly and our KS4 Form Time Year 12 students have put together an "International Children's Day" Quiz that they will run in order to recognize this important day and to have a little fun. 🙂

We wish all of the children in our TBS school community a very Happy International Children's Day!
